To whom it may concern...

I'm posting this to clear up anything anyone may have to say/think about my bases.

I know my Lean Back base getting a DD has stirred some pots and a few of you aren't too keen on a base that was "traced" getting a DD. But I'd like to let you know I did get permission directly from the artist and I gave him proper credit.

I am very proud of that base and was equally proud that it received a DD till everyone had to start "calling foul". Why must you rain on my parade and have me hear about your issues about it through other people. Send me a note and I'll explain myself to you directly.

I've thought several times of just taking it down, leaving DA, and even posting something angry and hateful in the news/forums. But I decided not to so I don't make matters worse. I also felt that would just meant you would've won...

So I will say this, I'm sorry if you don't like my bases, but if you don't like them, don't look at them or use them, it's your choice. Stop trying to make me miserable about things I shouldn't be.

Now if you're pissed at me, IM me, note me, what you wish to talk to me, it's up to you.

But.. on your stamp collection to the right.. you have 'tracing is not art', so which is it? Are you in support of tracing under certain conditions.. or against it.. or just a hypocrite?

No need to threaten with "Omg I'll leave DA! I'll post something in forums!" Anyone who said anything to you, doesn't care.

Read the description listed on the stamp.

"What this stamp addresses is people who trace over other people's artwork and claim it as 100% their own work--tracing over screenshots, for instance."

I gave full credit on my base.

Generally art is a product of human activity, made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind; by transmitting emotions and/or ideas. Beyond this description, there is no general agreed-upon definition of art. Art is also able to illustrate abstract thought and its expressions can elicit previously hidden emotions in its audience

There is no true definition to Art. its you opinion to take it as you see. I personally think all the negative comments are just jealous people trying to make an impact. Well guess what, mission failed

I don't know. It's iffy for me. I think if anyone had any negative thoughts on the base should definitely have been handled in private, but on the other hand, lots of pixel artists have very strong opinions on NOT tracing just as much as you have thoughts that tracing is okay, regardless of credit. Some people don't care if there's a link or not. Personal opinion.

I don't think it's jealousy that caused people to say harsh things, but a spur of the moment crime of passion, if that makes sense?

I'm not attacking you, I'm just trying to get you to see that while you have people hating your work, you probably have equal the amount of supporters, you just have to see both sides of the mirror, you know?

But seriously, Alice, you're an amazing person, and amazing NICE person, and those who are treating you negatively are just foul people with nothing else better to do. And wish that they had a DD. So don't quit! The ones that matter still and always will love you!

Yes, they should have handled it in private, but they decided to not come to me, they decided to go complain to other people.

I do personally think that there is a hint of jealousy with who ever is stirring it all up, I understand if they don't like it, but they didn't have to say things and cause this. They could have just ignored it and went about their business. I think its pretty sad if they act before they think, I really do.

I see both sides, and it makes me pretty sad for this community with some of the things I've seen people say about other dollers... very sad.
